A social game
You're a secret agent. Unfortunately, you're also an idiot.
Each round, one player is secretly assigned the role of Agent. Their job: complete a covert mission — something silly, subtle, or conspicuous — without the rest of the group catching on. Another player, the Witness, knows exactly who the Agent is and what they're supposed to do. Everyone else is the Crowd, blissfully unaware and vaguely suspicious.
After the round, players debrief. The Crowd tries to identify the Agent. The Agent tries to look innocent. Points are scored, accusations are made, and someone inevitably burns the wrong person.
Secret Idiot can be played with as few as 3 players, though the paranoia really kicks in with 5 or more. The more people at the party, the harder it is to spot the Agent — and the more satisfying it is when someone does.
Secret Idiot is free and open source. If you've got ideas for missions, features, or fixes, contributions are welcome on GitHub.
